With a career spanning over three decades, Mick possesses invaluable insights into operations at both a granular and expansive level. Beginning as an offsider in 1989, Mick’s journey has taken him across the globe, from Sardinia to managing drilling operations for diverse clients across West Africa and Australia. His extensive tenure sets him apart, offering a wealth of experience.

Brett Stamp
Operations Manager
Brett joined Ranger Drilling in 2008 as a Utility, before working his way up through the company as Offsider, Senior Offsider, Relief Driller, Driller, Field Supervisor, Operations Superintendent and now Operations Manager.
Brett oversees the company’s major drilling projects, bringing energy, reliability, and dependability to the team. A firm believer in leading by example, Brett adapts to evolving environments and takes pride in contributing to the company’s growth and success.

Thomas Fraser
Operations Superintendent
Thomas joined the company in 2013 and has since advanced through various roles, gaining extensive experience along the way.
Thomas’s journey has taken him from offsider to driller, then to supervisor, and now to operations superintendent. With over a decade of hands-on experience and a wealth of knowledge, he brings invaluable expertise to the drilling sector.

Ben Harris
Operations Superintendent
Ben joined Ranger Drilling in 2004, after building extensive experience across the exploration industry since 2008, working in remote regions throughout WA, SA, and QLD.
Ben began as a Supervisor and was promoted to Operations Superintendent in 2025. With a hands-on approach shaped by diverse experience, he is committed to supporting his team and maintaining a safe, well-prepared environment—ensuring everyone performs at their best and returns home safely.

Allyson Hunter
Operations Supervisor
Allyson joined Ranger Drilling in 2015 as an Operations Coordinator, bringing three years of experience in a similar role.
Since then, she has expanded her skills and expertise, progressing into the role of Operations Supervisor. In this capacity, Allyson manages crew logistics, training, and mobilisation while also overseeing marketing, events, and office operations.

Leanne Codognotto
Finance Supervisor
Leanne commenced in 2015 with Ranger Drilling, in the capacity of Finance Supervisor, bringing with her extensive experience in all aspects of financial processes, management accounting, project cost control and payroll.
Leanne oversees daily financial operations, including monthly reporting, budgeting, and payroll, while also providing support to the CFO and managing Accounts Payable.

Joe Mesiti
HSEC Manager
With over 16 years of experience in drilling across various rig types and programs, Joe started as a utility hand and worked his way up to the role of Driller.
Later, he took on the role of Operations Supervisor at several client sites within the company’s portfolio. Today, Joe leverages his extensive experience to lead Ranger Drilling’s HSEC management efforts.

Jason Howey
Maintenance Supervisor
Jason has been an integral part of Ranger Drilling for over 15 years. He began his career in 1988 as an apprentice with a company specializing in drill maintenance.
He went on to contract with various drilling companies and mine sites across WA, gaining hands-on experience both on the tools and as a supervisor. Joining Ranger Drilling in 2008 in an Operations Management role, Jason has since transitioned into Maintenance Supervision. In this role, he oversees workshop, yard, and field equipment, as well as managing personnel.

Andy Watts
Maintenance Supervisor
Andy, a certified Mechanical Fitter/Machinist, began his career in the drilling industry in 1995.
For approximately eight years, he honed his skills as a field mechanic before transitioning into Maintenance Supervision and Management roles. He served with several drilling companies, such as Drill Corp, Boart Longyear, and Airdrill, before becoming part of the Ranger team in 2012.

Jack Watts
Stores and Purchasing Supervisor
Jack is the Stores and Purchasing Supervisor at Ranger Drilling, bringing over 5 years of dedicated service to the company.
Initially joining as an offsider, he advanced to the role of Purchasing Officer before specialising in supply chain management.

HR Manager
Colin joins us as our HR Manager and brings a depth of experience across people & culture, industrial relations, and leadership development.
Colin has over 13 years of experience providing HR and recruitment support across Australia, including direct experience in the Pilbara region.
