Michael Walker
General Manager
Mick brings an impressive 30+ years of industry expertise to Ranger Drilling.
With a career spanning over three decades, Mick possesses invaluable insights into operations at both a granular and expansive level. Beginning as an offsider in 1989, Mick’s journey has taken him across the globe, from Sardinia to managing drilling operations for diverse clients across West Africa and Australia. His extensive tenure sets him apart, offering a wealth of experience.
Brett Stamp
Operations Manager
Brett joined Ranger Drilling in 2008 as a Utility, before working his way up through the company as Offsider, Senior Offsider, Relief Driller, Driller, Field Supervisor, Operations Superintendent and now Operations Manager.
Brett manages Rangers major drilling projects, bringing energy, reliability, and dependability to the team. Brett believes in setting the right example and standard whilst adjusting to changing environments and is proud to have played a part in Ranger’s growth and success.
Andrew Dymock
Operations Superintendent
Andrew spent seven years in the New Zealand Military, leaving in 2006 to commence his career in the West Australian Drilling Industry.
Working for a number of established drilling contractors, Andrew worked his way up from Offsider through to Supervisor predominantly based in the Pilbara. Andrew joined Ranger Drilling as a Driller in 2015 before moving to the Supervisor role in April 2017, and then joining the operations team in 2021. Andrew now boasts over 10 years’ experience working throughout the Pilbara Region and is highly experienced in managing Drilling Operations.
Thomas Fraser
Operations Superintendent
Thomas became part of the Ranger team in 2013, progressing through multiple positions within the company.
His journey has seen him transition from an offsider to a driller, then to a supervisor, and presently to an operations superintendent. With a rich reservoir of knowledge and practical expertise, Thomas accumulates over a decade of invaluable experience in the drilling sector.
Leanne Codognotto
Finance Supervisor
Leanne commenced in 2015 with Ranger Drilling, in the capacity of Finance Supervisor, bringing with her extensive experience in all aspects of financial processes, management accounting, project cost control and payroll.
Leanne is responsible for the day to day finance functions, monthly reporting, budgeting and payroll, along with assisting the CFO and Accounts Payable.
Joe Mesiti
HSEC Manager
With a solid background of over 16 years in drilling across various rig types and programs, Joe began as a green utility and rose through the ranks to become a Driller.
Later, he assumed the role of Operations Supervisor at numerous client sites under Ranger’s umbrella. Today, Joe utilises his wealth of experience to spearhead Ranger’s HSEC environment management.
Shayne McKinnon
Integrated Solutions Manager
Shayne joined Ranger in 2022 and is responsible for the company’s IT, cybersecurity and marketing activities.
Optimising performance monitoring systems, analysing data for improvement, managing the client relationship management system and overseeing facilities management.
Jason Howey
Maintenance Supervisor
Jason has been an integral part of Ranger for more than 15 years. Starting his career as an apprentice with a company specialising in Drill Maintenance in 1988.
He subsequently contracted with different drilling companies and mine sites across WA, gaining experience both on the tools and as a supervisor. Joining Ranger Drilling in 2008 in an Operations Management role, Jason has transitioned into Maintenance Supervision. In this capacity, he oversees workshop, yard, and field equipment, as well as personnel.
Andy Watts
Maintenance Supervisor
Andy, a certified Mechanical Fitter/Machinist, began his journey in the drilling industry in 1995.
For approximately eight years, he honed his skills as a field mechanic before transitioning into Maintenance Supervision and Management roles. He served with several drilling companies, such as Drill Corp, Boart Longyear, and Airdrill, before becoming part of the Ranger team in 2012.
Jack Watts
Stores and Purchasing Supervisor
Jack serves as the Stores and Purchasing Supervisor at Ranger Drilling, boasting over 5 years of dedicated service.
Initially joining as an offsider, he advanced to the role of Purchasing Officer before specialising in supply chain management.
Colin Purves
HR Manager
Colin joins us as our HR Manager and brings a depth of experience across people & culture, industrial relations, and leadership development.
Colin has 13+years’ experience working in Australia providing HR and recruitment support, with direct experience working in the Pilbara.
